KERSEY, Colo.—Kersey police have arrested an 18-year-old student after a high school math teacher ingested a marijuana-laced brownie and landed in the hospital.

The teacher was taken to North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley Monday complaining that she felt something was wrong after she ate a brownie given to her by students. She was released Monday night.

Police Chief Pat Carey says an 18-year-old student from Kersey was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of distribution of marijuana. He is free on bail.

Police are investigating whether other students were involved.
