GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. — At least one person has drowned in the Colorado River after a group of three Arizona hikers jumped in during a visit to the Grand Canyon.
Grand Canyon National Park spokeswoman Maureen Oltrogge said searchers found the body Friday about a mile downriver from where the trio had jumped in.
She says searchers are using a helicopter, a dog and other equipment to find the other two. A Tri-City Baptist Church spokesman says the three hikers, ages 15 to 22, were part of a 30-member trip organized by the church.
