Two small dogs are dead after a fire broke out in a Denver home this morning.
No people were home when the blaze started in the basement of a single-story house at 110 S. Elliot St., said Denver Fire assistant Chief Steve Garrod. The fire scorched the basement and left heavy smoke damage throughout the house. Investigators are still at the scene.
