AURORA, Colo.—Aurora police say a man found dead in a residential street was shot and may have been run over by a car, but they aren’t sure which happened first.

Police have not released any information about a suspect or motive for the death of 23-year-old Miguel Angel Chavez. Authorities found his body Sunday morning.

Chavez’s arrest record shows he was from Nebraska and had been arrested once before in Aurora on charges that he allegedly participated in a home-invasion robbery in 2007.

Court records show he plead guilty to robbery and was sentenced to four years of probation. A judge last year agreed to let him serve his probation in Nebraska.
