LOWERCASEQUINCY, Mass. — A Massachusetts woman accused of fatally stabbing her daughter and fetus has been found incompetent to face charges.
The arraignment of Fang Chi-Xue (SHWAY’) was postponed Tuesday by a judge in Quincy District Court.
The judge says she will be sent back to Worcester (WOO’-stur) State Hospital, where she has been since last month. Her status will be reviewed again on July 1.
Authorities say that on April 16 she fatally stabbed her 9-year-old daughter and tried to strangle her 14-year-old daughter.
She is then accused of killing her fetus by stabbing herself in the abdomen. She was 7 1/2 months pregnant.
Police said the surviving daughter told them her mother believed her husband was going to leave her.
