COLORADO SPRINGS — About 2 p.m. Tuesday, bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman was able to take Kelly Murphy into custody. Chapman, the star of a reality television series, had been pursuing Murphy since 11 a.m. Monday, Bobby Brown, a local bail bondsman, told The Gazette newspaper.

Murphy had failed to show up for court on misdemeanor charges.

About 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, Murphy flipped his vehicle when he tried to get away from the bounty hunter.

Murphy ran from the scene but later gave himself up to Chapman.
