GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A Grand Junction man is being held on $150,000 bail following his arrest for allegedly having sex with a minor and recording the encounters with a cell phone camera.
Forty-year-old Robert Fortier was arrested Wednesday. He appeared in court Thursday to be advised he may face charges of sexual assault, sexual assault on a child, sexual exploitation of a child and other charges.
An arrest affidavit indicates Fortier had previously moved into the home of the alleged 14-year-old victim before the teen’s mother found her daughter in bed with Fortier in September or October. The affidavit says the girl told her mother and stepfather she had sex with Fortier, but she later recanted the admission.
Fortier has denied having sexual contact with the girl.
