The pair own The Donut in west Centennial
In the past three months we have seen an improvement in business. Even those who had not been in for a while came in to say, “We have not forgotten you,” and “Proud to see you are still here surviving.”
Sales have become more predictable with a lower volume during the week and greater throughout the weekend.
Paydays of the month are also busy, as well as holidays. Mother’s Day this year was exceptionally busy, as everyone purchased tasty, affordable sweets.
We do notice slumps immediately after holidays, as people reserve their spending after having indulged in the holiday.
This spring we have already had several people inquiring for employment. Previously it was two or three inquiries at most in the summer months. That means unemployment is higher.
We are looking forward to warm, sunny days, ideal for lunch and great for doughnut sales with kids out of school.
We are anticipating the completion of construction along Arapahoe Road near the end of August.
We can only wait and hope for an optimistic outcome for the economy. If not for our loyal customers, we wouldn’t be here.
