ORLANDO, Fla.—A Colorado ticket came close but no one matched all six of the numbers drawn to win the midweek Powerball jackpot worth $25 million, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.
The winning numbers Wednesday were 16, 20, 22, 32 and 37. The Powerball was 9 and the Power Play number was 2.
Tickets matching all five white numbers plus the red Powerball would have won or shared the jackpot.
A ticket sold in Colorado, and another from Minnesota, matched the first five numbers only to win $200,000 each. Colorado Lottery officials did not immediately announce where that state’s second prize ticket was sold.
A Power Play ticket sold in Florida also matched the first five numbers to win $1 million.
The jackpot was expected to grow to an estimated $34 million for Saturday.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
The game is played in 30 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
