PUEBLO — Illegal-poker charges have been dropped against a Pueblo man after an informant in the case declined to testify.

Larry Lee Wittman was facing two misdemeanor gambling charges after raids by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. The CBI has said Wittman ran illegal card rooms for at least five years. But the informant was not willing to expose himself, and the district attorney filed papers this spring to dismiss the charges.

Another man in the area, William Benjamin Gradishar, still faces misdemeanor gambling charges as a result of a 2007 raid. Gradishar is scheduled to go to trial next month.
