A man who was shot last night while sitting in a car on Federal Boulevard died of his injuries early this morning, authorities say.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was shot in the head at 8:42 p.m. in front of the Galaxy Beauty Salon, 2400 S. Federal Blvd.
The victim was rushed to Denver Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 6:09 a.m., said Sonny Jackson, Denver police spokesman.
Witnesses told police the victim was sitting in his car when he got into an argument with another man, Jackson said. The context of the dispute is not being released.
The suspect pulled out a handgun and fired. Jackson said he is not releasing information about how many shots were fired.
The suspect, who has not been identified, fled from the area. No one has been arrested.
“We have a lot more investigation to do,” Jackson said.
