COLORADO SPRINGS — A man ran across a street to help a 62-year-old who had fallen and hit his head, only to rip off the injured man by stealing his wallet.
The incident happened about 4:45 a.m. Sunday in the 3300 block of East Fountain Boulevard, according to the Colorado Springs Police.
The victim was crossing the street when he tripped and struck his head, police said. A man ran to his assistance and stole the victim’s wallet while pretending to help, police said.
The suspect drove away in a late-model blue Jeep.
