The renewable-energy industry has added jobs at more than twice the national rate, according to a Pew Charitable Trusts study out Wednesday. Solar and wind-power companies, energy-efficient light- bulb makers, environmental- engineering firms and others expanded their workforce by 9.1 percent from 1998 to 2007. The study found that jobs in Wyoming’s clean-energy economy grew at a rate of 56.4 percent from 1998 to 2007, while overall Wyoming jobs grew by 14 percent. The Associated Press
