AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MINING AND RECLAMATION: Named Roy Karo, Peabody Energy’s reclamation manager for Colorado, as the 2009 Reclamationist of the Year. During his 30-year career, Karo has pioneered best practices to establish thousands of acres of rangelands and pastures in northwest Colorado.
