GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.—A farmworker discovered a body in an apple orchard near Glenwood Springs on Friday and investigators are treating the death as a homicide.
Authorities say the body is female but aren’t saying how old the victim was.
Garfield County sheriff Lou Vallario said there are signs of foul play. He said the farmworker found the body on the ground beneath some apple trees.
State investigators have been called in to help and authorities have been seen scouring the orchard. It’s 5 miles west of Glenwood Springs near Interstate 70.
