Travel + Leisure magazine and “Live With Regis and Kelly” each hold the fate of a Denverite and Denver itself in their hands. Travel + Leisure is conducting its annual America’s Favorite Cities survey, and city booster Rich Grant is stumping for the Mile High City.
“Denver is one of the top 25 cities, but the bad news is we always score near the bottom in some categories,” Grant said. “It’ll be real embarrassing if Denver falls behind the new cities (in the survey) of Cleveland, Houston, Kansas City and Providence.”
Last year, we scored No. 1 in the athletic/active category but 24th for destination restaurants. That’s Limburger. You can’t swing a rack of Colorado lamb without hitting a great eatery around here.
Show ’em who’s best. Fill out the survey at 2009/survey.
If “Live With Regis and Kelly” airs White Chocolate Grill founding partner Bobby Fitzgerald‘s one-minute video on his grilled citrus soy glazed salmon this morning (9 a.m. KWGN), voters have until 8 a.m. Saturday to vote for Fitzgerald to win the show’s Ultimate Hometown Grill Off.
See the video of Fitzgerald and his 7-year-old daughter, Kate, at regis . The winning chef will grill on the show next week.
White Chocolate Grill opened in the Vistas at Park Meadows last fall.
