A woman is dead and a man is in critical condition following what Denver police believe was a domestic dispute this morning.
Police were called to the 4900 block of Enid Way at 9:08 a.m. on a call for assistance.
There police found both people suffering from knife wounds, according to Det. Sharon Avendano, spokesperson for the Denver Police Department.
The female victim was taken to the University of Colorado Hospital, where she died, Avendano said. The man was transported to Denver Health, where he remains in critical condition.
Avendano said the incident is being investigated as a homicide.
Investigators are withholding the identity of the female victim until her relatives can be notified. Release of the identity of the man is being withheld pending additional investigation, said police.
