Creed is many things to many people: a multiplatinum rock band, a nostalgic ’90s indulgence, a miscarriage of the post-grunge rush and the butt of a thousand jokes about singer Scott Stapp’s shiny mane and chest. That also makes news of the band’s reunion either the best or worst of the summer, depending on your tolerance for hits like “Higher” and “With Arms Wide Open.” Tickets for Creed’s Oct. 3 concert at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. Sunny Day Real Estate seemed destined to remain a one-reunion band after its late ’90s/early ’00s stab, but now the Seattle indie-emo act is back together (again) for the rerelease of seminal albums “Diary” and “LP2.” Fortunately it’s with original bassist Nate Mendel, who’s taking time off from Foo Fighters.
