A 29-year-old Denver man is accused of murdering his wife, prosecutors said.
Lee Hood has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held at the Denver Jail without bail, according to a media release from the Denver district attorney’s office.
A family member called police last week after hearing an argument in Audry Nunez’s bedroom, the release said.
When police arrived, they found 33-year-old Nunez and Hood in the bedroom, both suffering stab wounds.
Nunez was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Hood also was taken to a hospital, where he was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.
Hood is set to appear in a Denver court Monday.
