Winds from intense thunderstorms and a brief tornado in Sterling knocked down light poles and trees Sunday evening, but no injuries were reported, authorities say.
Several funnel clouds menaced the town on Colorado’s northeastern plans starting at 6:27 p.m.
9News reported that high winds tore the roof off an apartment building and about 15 people had to go to a shelter. Hail piled up 2 feet in some places.
