Broomfield police are trying to piece together the circumstances of a car crash that left a 21-year-old Fountain woman seriously injured Saturday.
The woman, who has not been named, was found alone in her blue two-door Chevrolet Cavalier off the pavement near the eastbound off-ramp of U.S. 36 at Interlocken Loop, police said Sunday.
Authorities weren’t sure if she had been hit by another car, which had left the scene, or if there were other circumstances that led to the wreck, said Sgt. Scott Swenson, a spokesman for the department.
Swenson was not sure how far off the ramp the car had traveled or whether it had rolled over.
The woman’s injuries were said to be life-threatening.
Anyone who witnessed the accident can call Broomfield police at 303-438-6400.
