For the fifth consecutive month, passenger traffic dropped in May at Denver International Airport.
Airport officials said today that the economy and airline-capacity cuts continue to impact travel.
A 5.8 percent year-over-year decline was reported, with 4,192,174 passengers using the facility in May compared with 4,450,742 in May 2008.
Even with the decline, airport officials said it was DIA’s third-busiest May since it opened in late February 1995.
