CAMDEN, N.J. — Authorities say a man died after falling into a vat of melted chocolate in a New Jersey processing plant.
The victim was identified as Vincent Smith II, 29, of Camden. He was loading chocolate into a melting and mixing vat at Cocoa Services Inc., which ships the chocolate elsewhere to be made into candy.
A spokesman said Smith was hit and fatally injured by the agitator that mixes the chocolate.
