A Denver man was killed this morning in Northeast Park Hill, and his body dumped a short time later in Commerce City, Denver police said this afternoon.
Investigators aren’t identifying the man or saying how he died. Statements from witnesses lead police to believe the man knew his assailants, said police spokesman Sonny Jackson.
Jackson said witnesses heard an early morning “disturbance” at the man’s home in the 3600 block of North Leyden Street. Polce were called about 8:30 a.m.
As Denver police began the investigation, the department received word that a body matching the man’s description had been found in Commerce City near East 52nd Avenue and Forest Street.
The man’s identity and cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner’s office on Monday, Jackson said.
Anyone with information can call Denver police at 720-913-2000 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
