A robber sporting a red or brown wig with curls and a dress robbed a bartender during a private party at the Red Lion Inn in Boulder last night.
The bartender gave money to the man described as being about 5-foot-10 with a medium build, said Sgt. Bill Crist of the Boulder County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspect had a medium-size dress or skirt and was wearing a dark or denim trench coat, Crist said.
The robber entered the Red Lion Inn at 38472 Boulder Canyon Drive at 11:20 p.m., pulled out a black gun and demanded money from the bartender, he said.
The bartender took money out of a cash register and gave it to the robber in drag. The robber fled on foot, Crist said.
Deputies closed down Boulder Canyon for two hours and notified residents within a mile radius around the Inn through a reverse-911 call about the robbery while they searched for the robber using K-9s, he said.
Authorities were unable to find the robber, Crist said.
