SAN FRANCISCO — Reds third baseman Scott Rolen was evaluated in Cincinnati on Sunday for concussion- like symptoms and will remain inactive for several more days.
Rolen was scratched from Saturday’s starting lineup against the Giants and then sent home to be examined by concussion specialist Dr. John Brannan.
Rolen was hit in the head by a pitch thrown by Jason Marquis during the seventh inning of a recent game against the Rockies.
