BOULDER, Colo.—The Colorado State Patrol says a dump truck with brake problems veered off a highway in Boulder County and crashed, killing the driver.

State troopers say 24-year-old Omar E. Silva Marmolejo of Denver died at the scene of the accident Tuesday morning.

Investigators say the dump truck was loaded with gravel and was heading down a steep hill on Colorado 119 when it had brake problems, ran off the highway, struck rocks and rolled.

Investigators say Marmolejo did not have a driver’s license. They don’t know whether he was wearing a seat belt.
