GYPSUM, Colo.—A single-engine airplane has made a belly landing at the Eagle County Regional Airport after its landing gear failed to deploy, but no one was injured.

Eagle County spokeswoman Kris Friel says only the pilot was aboard the plane when it landed Wednesday morning.

Friel says the airport was closed for about an hour while the plane was removed from the runway, but it has since reopened.
