Catcher Jorge Posada (fingers) said he could have started Thursday but added, “I’m beat up.”
Shortstop Derek Jeter said “everything’s good” a day after X-rays were negative on his bruised right foot. And closer Mariano Rivera was available one day after seeking treatment for discomfort in his pitching shoulder.
