A motorcycle rally began Friday in Granby, Winter Park and Fraser to salute veterans and help local charities.
The 17th annual Salute to American Veterans Rally and Festival features the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall at the Fraser Valley Recreation District Fields, a parade through downtown Winter Park at 11 a.m. today, a POW/MIA Memorial Ceremony at noon today at Hideaway Park in Winter Park and the 14th annual High Altitude Tattoo Competition beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Admission to all events is free.
Progressive Insurance’s “Corn for Kids” will roast up to 750 ears an hour at Hideaway Park throughout the event. The suggested $1 donation supports Feeding America food banks and local charities.
