Two young north-metro area animators will be debuting their films this week and next on qubo, a television and online entertainment service for children and families.

Dyani Dussualt, 12, of Broomfield and Nicholas Shipe, 9, of Westminster, are two of the 14 animators whose short films have been selected by qubo to be converted and re-mastered into fully automatic mini-movies.

Qubo will air the quboPic movies on the “qubo on ION TV” programming block on ION Television as well as on qubo Channel, NBC and Telemundo.

Dussault’s “The Zimmer Channel” premiered Thursday on the ION Television network. The film will air several times a day on qubo Channel for one week.

Shipe’s film, “13 Pigs Out on Tufu,” will premiere at 1:40 p.m. Aug. 20 on “qubo on ION TV.” It will also air on qubo Channel at 2 p.m. Aug. 20 and will air several times on qubo Channel for one week.
