Colorado Springs starter Jhoulys Chacin allowed five runs and three hits and walked five batters in just two innings as the visiting Reno Aces defeated the Sky Sox 6-3 on Sunday in a Triple-A Pacific Coast League game at Security Service Field.
Chacin (1-1) struggled in his second start since being sent down from the Rockies. In his previous outing, he threw five no-hit innings to combine for a four-pitcher no-hitter.
Reno was led by former Rockie Eric Byrnes, who is on a rehab assignment from the Arizona Diamondbacks. Byrnes hit a solo homer in the first to give the Aces an early lead.
Eric Young Jr. led the Sky Sox with three hits, including a solo homer in the fifth inning, and a stolen base, his 57th of the season.
