The driver of a 1992 Acura was killed this morning in a single-vehicle accident at Peña Boulevard and East 40th Avenue, Aurora traffic investigators said.
The driver lost control of the car, which ran off the road and into a ditch, where it flipped and ejected the 44-year-old female driver, said Sgt. Chris Carleton of the Aurora Police Department.
Carleton said the crash’s cause is unknown.
When police arrived at 5:42 a.m., they found the woman outside her car. The driver was taken to Aurora South Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
