FIRESTONE, Colo.—The Colorado State Patrol says a bicyclist was killed in Weld County when he moved from the shoulder of a highway into a traffic lane and was struck by two cars.

The patrol says 44-year-old Jeff Cleveland of Longmont was killed Thursday night on Colorado 119 just west of Interstate 25, about five miles east of Longmont and 30 miles north of Denver.

The patrol says Cleveland was westbound on the shoulder of the highway when he moved into the right lane and was struck by a westbound sedan, thrown from his bicycle and then struck by another westbound sedan in the left lane.

The patrol says neither driver was hurt.

The accident is under investigation.
