Getting your player ready...

The fifth annual Bearable Adventure Race brings its unusual breed of outdoor fun back to the city of Lakewood’s Bear Creek Lake Park (15600 W. Morrison Road) on Sunday, inviting teams of two to compete in four disciplines: lake crossing, mountain biking, trail running and basic orienteering.

Teams of adults, youths, men, women, families and corporate coworkers all are welcome, and costumes are encouraged.

Kids ages 5-10 are invited to take part in a free adventure race at 9:30 a.m. that features biking, running, a water course and “mystery” events. (Be sure to bring a bike helmet.)

Registration for all events is limited, with a Friday deadline. For more information, visit or call 720-963-5390.
