CRAIG, Colo.—A Moffat County man is due in court, accused of beating an elderly couple in their home.
Police say 31-year-old James Lee of Craig tried to break into the home of Howard and Sharon Salman on Aug. 30. Police say that Lee rang the couple’s doorbell at about 2 a.m. and demanded to be let inside. When Sharon Salman refused, police say, Howard Salman went to an open window. Lee allegedly punched through the window screen and beat Howard Salman.
Lee told police he was invited to the home for a party. Salman required stitches after the beating. The Salmans planned to attend the Tuesday arraignment for Lee.
