The Team Evergreen Trailblazers are hosting their third annual Team Evergreen Epic in a weekend event to complete the 4-mile “Nice Kitty Trail” connecting the FS 543 and FS 500 roads in the fire-ravaged Buffalo Creek Recreation Area.
For $10 and a day of volunteering, trail-builders get primitive camping space Friday and Saturday nights, two breakfasts, catered dinner, live entertainment, two evenings of libations and the chance to be the first to ride fresh-built singletrack on some of the best free-ride pedal terrain on Colorado’s Front Range.
Volunteers should show up with lunch food, work clothes, water and sunscreen at the Meadows Group Campground sometime Friday afternoon or before 8 a.m. Saturday ready to go to work. Tools will be provided, but don’t forget your bike for the Sunday ride.
