LOVELAND, Colo.—The city of Loveland hopes to pump up the home remodeling business by temporarily waiving fees for building permits for projects worth up to $50,000.
The waiver runs from Oct. 1 until Jan. 1. Owner-occupied houses and duplexes are eligible.
Officials say it could save homeowners $1,000 or more. City and county taxes will still be collected.
The City Council approved the measure Tuesday.
