Grand County will host a variety of National Public Lands Day projects ranging from high-altitude trail building in Rocky Mountain National Park to tree planting along Grand Lake, all during peak foliage Saturday.
Volunteers will receive a complimentary breakfast, lunch and dinner provided by local restaurants and businesses. Transportation to project sites, tools, a commemorative T-shirt and goodie bag are also provided.

Colorado halfpipe riders Steve Fisher of Breckenridge and Gretchen Bleiler of Aspen once again anchor the U.S. Snowboarding Team roster recently released for 2010. The riders are joined on the pro halfpipe team by Clair Bidez of Minturn.
Other Coloradans named to the team include Jason Smith of Durango (snowboardcross, B Team) and Tyler Jewell and Justin Reiter of Steamboat Springs (alpine, A Team).
Dylan Bidez of Minturn, Zack Black of Dillon, Matt Ladley of Steamboat, Brock Waring of Edwards and Madeline Schaffrick of Steamboat all were named to the 2010 U.S. Snowboarding Freestyle Rookie Team.
