A semi-truck hauling paper rolled onto its side on Interstate 270 today, shutting down eastbound traffic and causing backups in the area.
The single-vehicle accident happened at about 11:30 a.m. on the highway near Vasquez Boulevard. Eastbound traffic was cut off at Interstate 76 and rerouted, said Mindy Crane, a Colorado Department of Transportation spokeswoman.
Paper in the trailer shifted and caused it to roll onto its side, Crane said.
Workers had to remove the paper from the trailer before it was uprighted and removed, Crane said.
Details on injuries to the driver, if any, were not available.
The highway reopened at about 2:15 p.m., CDOT said.
