An 18-year-old Pueblo man has been arrested in the shooting death of an 18-year-old victim.
The incident happened Sept. 25 at 1638 E. Fifth St., Pueblo police said in a media release.
Lorenzo Oscar Gonzalez, 18, was arrested today and is being held without bail at the Pueblo Jail on suspicion of murder, police said.
Carlos Romero, 18, was fatally shot as he partied in a garage, listening to music and playing cards, said Sgt. Eric Bravo.
Gonzalez and another man were walking by the garage, heard the music and felt that it somehow “disrespected their gang,” Bravo said.
Gonzalez fired shots through the garage door, hitting Romero once and killing him, police said.
The investigation is ongoing, Bravo said.
