COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Supreme Court says problems with a recent planned lethal injection aren’t enough to delay next week’s execution of a different man who strangled his 67-year-old neighbor.
The court on Thursday rejected Lawrence Reynolds’ request to put off his Oct. 8 execution after the state’s failed attempt to execute someone. Prosecutors say difficulties with the execution of Romell Broom don’t mean there will be similar issues with Reynolds’ procedure.
