A man hit by a vehicle last night in Denver died from his injuries after being taken to a hospital, police said.

The accident happened last night about 8 o’clock near East 22nd Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, according to the Denver Police Department.

The victim had driven a vehicle up onto a lawn, got out and ran from the scene when he was hit by a passing vehicle, police said.

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner identified the man as 32-year-old Scott Driscoll. The coroner’s office did not release a cause of death pending an autopsy.

Investigators believe Driscoll’s vehicle may have hit something before it came to a stop on the lawn.

So far, there are no charges pending against the driver of the car who struck Driscoll.

The accidents remain under investigation, police said.
