At the American Beer Festival in Denver, Idaho’s Grand Teton was showing off its Pursuit of Hoppiness — a salute to American hops. A rich, nearly opaque deep-copper brew with a light-tan head, this ale’s hops leap right up the nose, with its 8.5 percent alcohol by volume only slightly betrayed. The combination of Summit, Simcoe, Chinook and Nugget hops gives it huge grapefruit flavor with a bit of grassiness, resulting in the rarely attained International Bitterness Units rating of 100. Enjoy this highly drinkable beauty with grilled meats or pizza. Grand Teton Brewing Co., Victor, Idaho;
