A 61-year-old Aurora woman died Wednesday morning after being hit by a car.
The accident happened about 8:30 a.m. near East Alameda Parkway and South Kalispell Way, according to the Aurora Police Department.
Rhetta Stafford was crossing Alameda about 95 feet west of the intersection and outside a painted pedestrian crosswalk, police said. She died at a local hospital, police said.
