The Durango-La Plata County Airport reported 14,552 passengers boarded commercial flights in September, a record for the month and a 12.5 percent increase from September 2008.
“We were surprised to see such a large increase in traffic during September,” said aviation director Ron Dent.
He said United Express has added capacity and Frontier Airlines will add a new departure in November.
