
Pea-soup fog is slowing commuters this morning in the metro area, but the fog is expected to lift later today.
Visibility was less than a quarter of a mile and down to a “a few hundred feet” in some parts of the Denver area, according to the National Weather Service.
Areas hit hard by the fog include downtown Denver, Boulder and Denver International Airport.
The fog was predicted to lift this morning, the weather service reports.
Mostly cloudy skies over Denver today will bring a 10 percent chance of showers this afternoon as the high temperature reaches about 63 degrees, the weather service said.
A string of sunny days in Denver is expected to kick-off tomorrow and Thursday’s high temperature should hit about 64 degrees.
Denver weekend weather looks really nice, with a high on Saturday of 69 and Sunday’s high topping out at about 73, the weather service said.
