LINCOLN, Neb.—A dismal performance in the 31-10 loss to Texas Tech has knocked Nebraska out of The Associated Press Top 25 for the first time this season.

The Cornhuskers went into Saturday’s game No. 15—their highest ranking in two years.

After falling to 4-2, the Huskers are now behind Notre Dame, Mississippi and South Florida among teams on the outside looking in at the Top 25.

Big 12 teams in the rankings this week are No. 3 Texas, No. 14 Oklahoma State, No. 21 Texas Tech and No. 24 Kansas.

Alabama edged past defending national champion Florida to take the top spot.
