DENVER—Colorado Democrats say they’re hoping to raise $50,000 in a fundraiser honoring Interior Secretary Ken Salazar.
Colorado’s two Democratic senators, Gov. Bill Ritter and three Democratic members of the U.S. House will be on hand for the downtown Denver reception Friday night. Tickets cost $100. The reception honors Salazar, who was Colorado’s senior senator before being named interior secretary earlier this year.
Democrats say several hundred people have bought tickets and that the event should raise more than $50,000 for the party.
