In Arapahoe County elections, it appeared Cathy Noon was going to win the race for Centennial mayor. Ron Phelps had a narrow lead in City Council District 1, and Sue Bosier and Rebecca McClellan had strong leads in Districts 2 and 3, respectively.

In Littleton, Bruce Stahlman and Peggy Cole won two at-large council seats, and Phil Cernanec had a solid lead for the District 3 seat.

In Englewood City Council races, incumbent Jim Woodward held a strong lead for the at-large slot. In District 2, Linda Olson was winning, while Rick Gillit held a edge over Wayne Oakley in District 4.

In the Greenwood Village District 4 council race, Ron Rakowsky and Gary Kleeman appeared to win a four-way race for two open seats.

In Sheridan, Dallas Hall was leading Jose Tafoya for mayor. In City Council District 2, Charles West led over Chanele Beacham, while in District 3, Ernie Camacho and Tara Beiter-Fluhr led for two open council slots.

Voters also appeared to turn down a 5.5 percent lodging tax and a $1.75 per ton excise tax on salvaged material.
